I help adult women, children, and families process trauma and other challenging life experiences so they can learn to love themselves and believe they are deserving of healthy relationships.

My passion for working with young women began in college where I worked at my University’s center for prevention of sexual and relationship violence.  There, my passion for helping women heal from trauma grew as I helped to facilitate groups and organize programming for women experiencing commercial sexual exploitation.

In graduate school was when my love of play therapy and experiential therapies began.  It was then I learned about the critical importance of family involvement in child therapy to promote and strengthen healthy caregiver/child relationships.

I’ve been told many times I should choose between working with kids or adults-but I’ve decided that I can’t and don’t have to choose! I love both! And this is because my understanding of child development and the impact of early life experiences has deeply informed my work with adults in helping to reframe unwanted behaviors as brilliant creative adjustments to some of life’s toughest challenges.

I love helping parents understand how their own upbringings inform their struggles with parenting and in turn gain compassion for both themselves and their children.

I work from a relational, body-oriented, experiential, emotion-focused perspective.  I am committed to obtaining continual therapy, training, and supervision throughout my career to best be able to support my clients in their journeys towards transformation and self-understanding.
